[Updated] How to redeem your eBelia RM150 e-Wallet Credit

The RM300 million eBelia programme will open for two million eligible Malaysians aged 18 to 20 this year. Each eligible applicant can claim RM150 in the form of e-wallet credit from one of the participating e-wallets. The credit can be spent until July 31, and the claim period for the credit is from June 1 to July 22. The initiative aims to relieve the financial burden of the country's youths, as well as promote cashless spending among Malaysian youths and full-time students at registered local institutions of higher learning. The programme is a collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports and other government agencies.  

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE EBELIA PROGRAM?

  • This program is open to Malaysian citizens according to the following qualifications:

    1. Aged 18 to 20 years in 2021 (born in 2001 to 2003); OR

    2. Full -time students at the diploma level or SKM4 and above in public and private institutions of higher learning in Malaysia registered with the ministry involved

  • Youth data will be cross -checked with registered local IHLs and relevant Government databases

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR THE EBELIA PROGRAM?

  • Application can be made with the following steps:

    1. Download the involved e-wallet app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery. The e-wallet service providers involved are BigPay, Boost, ShopeePay and Touch 'n Go eWallet

    2. For new or existing users, follow the instructions provided in the respective e-wallet app. The e-wallet operator will verify the user's identity electronically

    3. In the e-wallet app of your choice, enter the required information on the eBelia claim view and press “Submit”

    4. You will be notified if the claim is successful

  • Eligible recipients can only claim eBelia credit from one (1) e-wallet service provider. Please refer to the respective e-wallet applications for more information on eBelia credit redemption
